

This computer was not pre-fab, it was actually built my friend who works in IT a few years back - he packed it with fans, as well, with the intent that I could one day overclock.

This would almost makes me think that this CPU is NOT overclockable, except everywhere I read says that it is, which is why I purchased it. All of my drivers are up to date, if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what gives? It's not that ancient of a board. While there is an option for Advanced Tuning (all greyed out) and the other Benchmark Test there is no option, whatsoever, for Manual tuning. Open the Intel XTU Download Center, and then go to the Available Downloads section and click the Download XTUSetup.exe link. I downloaded the Intel Extreme Overclocking utility.

It appears through Device Manager that I have an Intel(R) 6 Series/C 200 chipset - I also see a Z68 Express chipset listed. I am using Windows 10 and have an AMD Radeon 6800 graphics card. I purchased the I5 2500k (3.3gHz 4 cpus) with the intent to overclock one day. My question still remains, am I overclockable with this chipset?
